Official Giveaway Rules

1. Sponsor

The sponsor of the Community Candle Vote giveaway is Candle Connoisseur Club, www.candleconnoisseurclub.com (“Sponsor”).

2. Promotion Description

The Community Candle Vote giveaway is a monthly sweepstakes conducted on Sponsor’s official Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts.

Each monthly promotion typically follows this structure:

• Week 1: Base scent vote
• Week 2: Accent scent #1 vote
• Week 3: Accent scent #2 vote
• Week 4: Winner announcement

Specific dates, account handles, eligible posts, scent options, and other monthly details will be identified in the applicable social media captions.

3. Entry Period

Only entries received during the current entry month are eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device.

The Week 1, Week 2, and Week 3 Community Candle Vote posts identified by Sponsor as eligible entry posts are collectively referred to as the “Eligible Vote Posts.” The Week 4 winner announcement is not an Eligible Vote Post unless Sponsor expressly states otherwise.

4. Eligibility

The promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.

The following are not eligible:

• Employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of Sponsor
• Individuals involved in developing, producing, or administering this promotion
• Immediate family members of any excluded individual
• Members of the same household as any excluded individual

“Immediate family members” includes a spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, or in-law, whether by blood, marriage, or adoption. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

5. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase, payment, subscription, or social media engagement other than the required entry method is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve an entrant’s chances of winning.

6. Entry Method

To enter through social media, an eligible entrant must:

1. Locate an Eligible Vote Post on Sponsor’s official Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok account during the Entry Period; and
2. Submit a comment on that Eligible Vote Post.

Each eligible comment counts as one entry, subject to the limits below. An entrant may enter through more than one Eligible Vote Post and on more than one participating platform.

A comment must:

• Be submitted by the entrant
• Be publicly visible to Sponsor
• Comply with the applicable platform’s terms, policies, and community guidelines
• Not contain unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or infringing content
• Not contain malicious code, automated content, or promotional spam

Sponsor may disregard comments that are duplicated, automated, generated by a bot, irrelevant, excessive, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise inconsistent with these Official Rules.

Each person may submit no more than 10 eligible comments per Eligible Vote Post per platform. Comments exceeding this limit may be disregarded. Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who attempts to circumvent this limit or otherwise tampers with the entry process.

Entries submitted through fake, duplicate, or fraudulent accounts may be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, misdirected, or technically unsuccessful entries.

8. Prize

One winner will receive one Candle Connoisseur Club candle, generally expected to be a 24 oz Signature Pillar Candle created with the winning scents.

The approximate retail value of the prize is [39.00]. The exact fragrance and product selected may vary based on availability.

The prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

The prize will be shipped to a valid United States address supplied by the verified winner. Sponsor is not responsible for delivery delays or unsuccessful delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the winner.

Any federal, state, or local taxes, fees, duties, or other costs associated with accepting or using the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

9. Winner Selection

After the Entry Period closes, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received through the participating platforms and alternative entry method.

The drawing is expected to occur on or about the 30th of each month. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Sponsor’s decisions regarding administration of the promotion, eligibility, entries, and winner selection are final and binding, subject to applicable law.

10. Winner Notification and Verification

The potential winner will be notified through the social media account used to enter and/or by email or telephone using the information provided with the entry.

The potential winner must respond within [five] calendar days after the first notification attempt. Sponsor may require the potential winner to complete and return an eligibility confirmation, liability/publicity release, tax form, or other reasonable verification documents.

If the potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond on time, is ineligible, fails to return required documents, has an undeliverable notification, or declines the prize, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner selected at random from the remaining eligible entries.

Sponsor will not request payment, gift cards, banking passwords, or sensitive financial information from a winner to claim the prize.

11. Platform Terms

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, TikTok, or their respective owners.

By entering, each entrant releases Instagram, Facebook, Meta, and TikTok from responsibility and liability relating to this promotion.

Entrants must comply with all applicable platform terms, policies, community guidelines, and standards. Sponsor will not require entrants to share the promotion on personal timelines, tag friends, make inaccurate tags, purchase a product, use a paid feature, or engage in prohibited activity as a condition of entry.

12. Public Comments and Submissions

Comments may be publicly visible on the applicable platform. Entrants should not include private, confidential, financial, medical, or other sensitive information in a comment.

By submitting a comment, an entrant grants Sponsor a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to reproduce, display, publish, distribute, edit, adapt, and otherwise use the comment, entrant’s username, and associated profile image in connection with the promotion, Sponsor’s business, and related advertising or promotional activities, to the extent permitted by law.

The entrant retains ownership of the comment and represents that the comment does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law or platform policy.

13. Privacy

Information collected from entrants will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact a potential winner, deliver the prize, comply with legal obligations, and maintain promotion records.

Sponsor will not sell entrant information in connection with this promotion. Information may be disclosed to service providers assisting with promotion administration, prize fulfillment, legal compliance, and as otherwise required by law or disclosed in Sponsor’s privacy notice.

14. Release and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, each entrant releases and holds harmless Sponsor, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, affiliates, and service providers, as well as Instagram, Facebook, Meta, TikTok, and their respective owners, officers, employees, and representatives, from claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to:

• Participation in the promotion
• Acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or inability to use the prize
• Alleged violations of publicity, privacy, intellectual property, or other rights
• Technical failures, interruptions, delays, or errors
• Lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, or misdirected entries
• Unauthorized access to or tampering with the promotion
• Platform outages or account restrictions
• Personal injury, property damage, or other loss
• Any other matter connected with the promotion

Nothing in these Official Rules limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

15. Right to Cancel, Modify, or Suspend

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, or terminate the promotion if fraud, technical failure, platform disruption, security concerns, legal requirements, or another event compromises its integrity, security, or proper administration.

If Sponsor changes, suspends, or terminates the promotion, Sponsor may select a winner from eligible entries received before the action occurred, where permitted by law.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

The promotion and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of WA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to the promotion must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Snohomish, WA, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

To the extent permitted by law, entrants agree that claims must be brought individually and not as part of a class action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding.

17. Monthly Reuse

These Official Rules may be reused for each monthly Community Candle Vote promotion. Each month is a separate sweepstakes with its own Entry Period, eligible posts, prize, and drawing.

By entering, each entrant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Official Rules and all applicable platform terms and policies.
